THE FAUDEL FAMILY’S CONTEMPORARY RANCH HOME

When Evan was in Kindergarten, he befriended James and they were inseparable through middle school. His family were our friends and neighbors in our first home, and they maintained their friendship when we moved eight miles to the south. Years later, right before they underwent a major remodel, At the 11th hour their homeowner’s association complained about a frivolous detail so out of curiosity, they browsed at the market to see what was available. Lo and behold, she found a good fit and called to see if I recognized the address. In a ten square mile area, it could have been anywhere, but it turns out our backyard touched! We were so happy they moved south as well. It was magic for our boys, who hopped the fence to each others backyards for many years.

I have always loved their home. It sits perfectly and comfortably on their two-acre flat site with the western facing backyard taking in mountain views. They are beautiful and elegant people that perfectly match their home. It inspires me every time I am there.
