The most beautiful sunset I’ve ever experienced, was in Chicago, Illinois - July 5, 2018
Little did we know at the time, that less than five years later, we would be calling Chicago home for about one third of our time. Required by Peter’s company to continue his employment, we secured a tiny but beautiful little studio apartment on the 23rd floor of a 44-floor apartment building on February 23, 2023. We now fondly call it “The Nest” which perfectly describes the cozy safe simple cheerful perch that it feels like to us. We are endlessly happy and content there, and we never ever lack for new places to explore and familiar places to visit by foot, bike or scooter.
We have no car there, which is a big part of our joy there. It looks east over Lincoln Park directly across the street, Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline.
We moved in March 9, and was introduced to what would become one of the happiest most serendipitous things to ever happen to us in our whole lives.

I now have an endless supply of photographs taken in beautiful rich Chicago lately. It is one of my favorite things to do there.
So below this first set taken in 2018, I am adding more taken in 2024 and 2025 below
